GOSHEN – A new sign is now visible in the Goshen community. The Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Northern Indiana Real Estate celebrated an official ribbon cutting ceremony on January 6 at a new location, 1701 Elkhart Road.
2014 was a groundbreaking year for the company. Transitioning from Prudential One Realty to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Northern Indiana Real Estate was a major undertaking for 2014—but the Goshen real estate agents have taken the momentum and found tremendous growth and success.
Several months after the brand transition, the company grew stronger yet, acquiring the Bontrager Hardies Realty company
September 15, 2014, bringing the agents into the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices fold.
“It’s good to be among a brokerage network that is entrusted with the Berkshire Hathaway name,” explained agent Travis Bontrager. “I like having it on my signs. It’s a very prestigious sign, and a good brand.” The Bontrager Hardies group always considered themselves to be quality agents, and partnering with a growing brand only helps strengthen his offering for his clients.
The open house for the new Goshen Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices location was held with the Goshen Chamber of Commerce. Growing into the new office location has been fantastic, said Office Manager Lisa Schrock. “We’ve done some refreshing of the building. We have more space, a great layout,’ Schrock described. “This whole year—the agents are excited, and the positive energy this created has flourished.”
“The publicity and name recognition has taken a big jump. With major industries locally already being in the Berkshire Hathaway family, it’s a known and reputable name,” explained agent Craig Culver. “It helps buyers and sellers come to our company before others that they don’t have the name recognition or affiliation with.”
“I love coming to work. I love our new office. The atmosphere in the office is wonderful,” agent Karen Smith explained. “Lisa has gone over and above the call of duty. She doesn’t like to be the center of attention, but she deserves a big hand shake or hug.”
With the brand change, the acquisition of Bontrager Hardies bringing in new comradery, and a new office and location, it’s a perfect recipe. “I think it’s going to be a really good year,” Smith concluded.
